ABOUT CEDAR KEY
Originally named "Las Islas Sabines" by Spain in 1542, Cedar Key is located in Levy County at the Western termination of SR 24 approximatley 50 miles Southwest of Gainesville.
Cedar Key today is a well known tourist destination providing visitors with a unique experience of an old Florida fishing village.
History of the area can be previewed at the Cedar Key Museum State Park.
It is also home to the annual Cedar Key Annual Fine Arts Festival.
