ABOUT SUWANNEE
Suwannee is located in Dixie County near the mouth of the Suwanneee River approximately 60 miles East of Ocala.
CR 349 is the only access road into town from US Hwy 19.
One of Florida's oldest fishing villages, Suwannee is well known for fresh and salt water fishing. Its surrounded by by the 53,000-acre Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge. Many enjoy walking nature trails, fishing, canoeing, hunting, and observing Florida's wildlife.
